Our Story

Hey, I'm Andy. Not too long ago I was looking for a diamond engagement ring for my fiance.

I was quickly overwhelmed. There was so much knowledge to absorb, and honestly, I couldn't tell which retailers were reputable.
Prices seemed all over the place, and I often saw the same exact diamond listed at different prices on multiple retailers.

To avoid overpaying, I built out a series of web-scraping scripts for myself to automatically pull data from each online retailer and compile everything into a Google spreadsheet.
I ran these scripts over and over again for weeks until I found the perfect stone for my now wife!

Fast forward a few months, I decided to re-work these scripts into a useful little app for all the other "diamond watchers" out there who are searching for that perfect stone. I also compiled some educational pages that describe some important things to know when buying a diamond (just the basics) in a no-nonsense and understandable way. I hope it's helpful.
